STA Preschool Philosophy

St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten Learning Center is a full-year program committed to the mission of the Church by providing a quality and age-appropriate learning environment that nurtures the development of the whole child. Working in collaboration with our families, the preschools vision is to prepare our students to be productive, socially aware global citizens of the 21st Century.

Welcome to St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool and Pre-K Learning Center

Children are full of wonder. Preschool age children have strong and curious minds that take them through their day.

St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten has a highly qualified staff with numerous years of experience in early childhood education. This experience allows our staff to nurture, acknowledge and engage each individual child’s curiosity.

We provide a variety of different activities for our children’s development such as Soccer, Music, Spanish and Chinese. Our enrichment programs have proven to be very popular and are specifically designed for our preschool children at St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool and Pre-K Learning Center. The purpose of this customization is to offer all children the exposure to a variety of activities in which they can discover and meet their developmental needs and have a “Learning Through Fun” journey. This “learning journey” allows our preschool children to naturally build their fine and gross motor skills, build confidence and enhance language skills beginning at a young age.

At the St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool and Pre-K Learning Center we sincerely believe every child is capable, valuable, and unique. Truly understanding these qualities, we strive to provide each family with a uniquely suited, high-quality program designed to make their child’s young learning journey remarkable and meaningful and most importantly, effective.

STA Preschool Curriculum

St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool and Pre-K Learning Center’s curriculum for our three instructional level classes is engaging, theme-based, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate. We use the High-scope curriculum as our main curriculum for all preschool students and Hand Writing Without Tears for our Pre-Kindergarten class.

On behalf of our preschool staff teaching team, we sincerely love to learn, play, laugh, and grow together with every child by guiding them on a well developed path to success at St. Thomas the Apostle Preschool and Pre-K learning center.
